The Budget and Finance Committee

The Area 45 Budget and Finance committee is responsible for the preparation of the Area budget. The budget is presented to the assembly at the August meeting, thus the budget must include the ability of the next panel to operate from January to August.

The committee includes the Area Chairperson and Treasurer. The committee chairperson requests input from all committee chairs prior to preparing the budget. The Chair of this committee also has the responsibility of auditing the books of the Area at least three (3) times per year and reporting all findings at the Area committee meeting.

If at any time the Area treasury reaches a level of $2000.00, all spending stops and the Budget committee meets to review the treasury. The Chairperson of this committee is also a member of the Convention Finance committee and assists that sub-committee in the preparation of the Convention budget.
