SECTION LEADERS AND DCM REPORTS

SECTION 1 LEADER: Janet S.: Section 1 is alive and well, and very active. I visited districts 1 & 2, which cover the Al-an club. I left my name; address and phone number so that any GSR or other interested party can contact me.

Chris H. is the new DCM for District 20, 25, and 31. Their district meeting was held on the 3rd Wednesday of January. I was unable to attend due to weather. They also had an inventory.

There was a letter sent t Fred from District 22 &23, questioning the principal of 50, 30, 10,10. I will pass this onto the new GSR or DCM to give this group an answer.

DISTRICT 1 & 2 AND 22 & 23 : Kathy S.: I will be facilitating over these Districts over the next few months to co-ordinate information meetings for the groups in these districts. Our goal is to hold elections prior to the next Assembly and to have these positions filled. Currently these Districts are quiet but are “waking up” and ready to join Area 45 again! I am honored to serve where needed.

DISTRICT 3: Bob P.: The checkbook balance is $655.29 as of February 10th. We have 3 new GSR’s Ralph R. of the Fellowship Group, Al S. of the Willingboro group, and Jimmy G. of the Riverton Group.

Our Alcathon on New Years was a big success. There is new Group filling a need in the Hopewell Borough; “The Sourland Survivor Group” Friday Nights, 8PM at the First Methodist Church. (The land up there is shale and rock, hence their name.)

DISTRICT 25, 30, & 31: Chris H.: All officers have been elected. Alt. DCM: Doug P., Registrar: Vicki F., Treasurer: Susan L., Secretary: Cindy M.

We completed an inventory and are using the findings to better serve the meetings. Our budget is being created. We currently have $619.11 in the treasury. We are working on flyers to send to meetings on a quartly basis. Our first will go this month.

DISTRICT 10: No Report

DISTRICT 26: Frank Z.: We hold our District meeting the first Wednesday of every other month. We have met twice since the last assembly.

In the December meeting we had 7 GSR’s present and the Alternate DCM. There was a review of the meetings within the district to determine what meetings are no longer in existence and what groups did not have a current GSR. We discussed the recommended monetary split that groups should follow if possible and what the money donated to the district was used for. We discussed the need for a district secretary and asked that this be brought up in the groups. Our balance was approx. $300.00. Announcements concerning NERAASA were made and GSR’s were encouraged to attend. A discussion followed about GSR’s asking their groups to vote to fund their way to the conference. A motion was brought before the GSR’s to go back to their groups and ask the groups to vote on allowing the district treasury paying for the Alternate DCM to also attend NERAASA.

In February’s meeting we had 8 GSR’s and the Alternate DCM present. There were several new GSR’s also present.

I have attended several groups’ business meetings prior to this District meeting in an effort to find out about their GSR’s and encourage groups to have one if they did not. My efforts were positively met and the results were more GSR’s and a broader knowledge of the District within the groups. Announcements: Open Secretary position in the District, NERAASA and the van openings, the groups voted to fund the DCM and Alt DCM to NERAASA, Upcoming area Assembly, The upcoming Convention has openings for service see Kathy O. The treasury balance $702.00.
